Breaking: Tinubu Renames Uniabuja In Honor Of Yakubu Gowon

President Bola Tinubu has approved the renaming of the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) in honor of former military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, following Wednesday's Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The institution will now be called The Yakubu Gowon University, pending approval from the National Assembly.
