Nysc Urges Prospective Corps Members To Dismiss Fake Call-Up Number Claims

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has refuted social media reports claiming that Prospective Corps Members without Call-Up Numbers should visit State Secretariats to obtain them.

In a statement released on Tuesday, NYSC’s Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, urged the public to disregard these claims, emphasizing that they did not originate from the Scheme. She clarified that all official communication with Prospective Corps Members is conducted exclusively through their personal dashboards and NYSC’s verified social media channels.

“The attention of the NYSC Management has been drawn to misleading information spread by certain mischief-makers, suggesting that Prospective Corps Members yet to receive their Call-Up Numbers should proceed to State Secretariats for assistance,” the statement read.

“For clarity, we advise all Prospective Corps Members awaiting their Call-Up Numbers to remain patient, regularly check their dashboards, and follow updates on the NYSC’s official social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and Threads,” she added.
